ABOUT ORBAN MUSIC
Hello! My name is Adam Orban and I am a (primarily) choral music composer based out of Algona, Iowa, a small town in the north central region of the state. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Music Education and taught choral music public schools for 18 years. My conducting honors include being invited to conduct the 2013 9th Grade Mixed Iowa Opus Honor choir as well as being guest clinician for several events. In 2017, I won the Iowa Composers Forum/Iowa Choral Directors Association Composition Competition with my song "Hush Thee, My Babie." My main area of writing is for middle and high school choral ensembles where I hope to create music that is meaningful and attainable.
